Author Bio

M. Lev has spent over 45 years in the non-profit and for-profit worlds,
both in the U.S. and abroad. He has dedicated his professional career to building bridges across cultures, borders and generations—locally, nationally and internationally.

In the not-for-profit arena, M. Lev has served as an executive officer for numerous charitable organizations, raising more than one billion dollars for humanitarian causes. Among his other notable achievements, M. Lev played a major role in shaping a new national model of response to acts of hate- related violence and vandalism, leading to the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision upholding the Civil Rights Act of the United States.

M. Lev’s improvisational bedtime stories for his own children formed the treasure trove of content for the national education company he founded. The Imaginitis Learning System (“Learning is a team sport”) has been used in school systems across the nation.

M. Lev’s first novel, published in 1986, was a National Book Club selection. Following its publication, he decided not to submit any additional works of fiction for publication. Now 35 years later, he has become a full-time writer, once again sharing his original stories and characters with the world.

M. Lev is also an award-winning filmmaker, as well as a former professional athlete and coach.
